Advancing Academic Integrity in Georgia: StrikePlagiarism.com Hosts National Workshop in Tbilisi
On March 19, 2025, StrikePlagiarism.com held a high-level academic workshop in Tbilisi, Georgia, aimed at addressing emerging challenges in academic integrity and promoting institutional strategies to uphold originality in scholarly work.
The event convened academic leaders and experts from some of Georgia’s most prominent higher education institutions, fostering a professional dialogue on plagiarism prevention, quality assurance, and the integration of digital tools to ensure ethical academic practices. The workshop placed particular emphasis on institutional frameworks for promoting academic responsibility, as well as practical mechanisms for increasing transparency and trust in the educational process.
The keynote address was delivered by Ali Tahmazov, Executive Director of StrikePlagiarism.com, who presented the platform’s latest developments — including the AI-generated content detection module, designed to meet the growing need for integrity tools in an AI-driven academic environment. We are very pleased that 70% of all universities in Georgia responded to our initiative and took part in the event!
